Transport for NSW is hosting a community information session on the third rail line between Epping and Thornleigh, Monday 23 April 4pm - 7pm Cheltenham Recreation Club.
Objectives of the Trust:
a) To preserve the existing village character, heritage values, and the natural beauty of the Beecroft and Cheltenham district.
b) To represent Beecroft and Cheltenham residents in appropriate quarters with regard to any proposed development in the district and to work with and assist local government for the betterment of the district.
c) To seek the co-operation of and maintain links with other community organisations, including the National Trust of Australia (NSW), the Royal Australian Historical Society, and flora and fauna protection societies.
d) To foster, maintain and encourage an interest in the history and heritage of the district, research, collect, record and publish oral and written history of the district, and
collect, preserve and exhibit those objects which reflect the heritage of the district.
e) To achieve the preceding objectives by various means, including dissemination of information to residents, Councillors and others; public meetings, seminars, discussions and lectures; exhibitions; publications; guided walks; social events; public relations activities including news releases.
